During my studies, Roskilde Festival reached out to us with a major challenge—one of the biggest issues at any festival: the overwhelming amount of trash. They wanted fresh ideas and innovative solutions to tackle the problem and create a more sustainable festival experience.
My group and I came up with the idea of placing multiple trash cans at every campsite. Each day, a designated trash collection vehicle would come by to pick up sorted waste. In return, festival-goers would earn points, which they could exchange for rewards at the festival gift shop.
